Voice of Democracy Competition
Since 1947, the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars' (VFW's) premier scholarship program. Each year, more than 50,000 high school students compete for more than 2.3 million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by writing and recording a broadcast script on an annual patriotic theme. This year's theme is, Why I'm Optimistic About our Nation's Future.
Recognize Teachers Who Care About America
VFW wants to identify and recognize America's best educators who instill a sense of national pride in students. VFW offers cash awards, commemo rative plaques and all-expenses-paid trips to a national VFW conference for these worthy teachers. The trip will provide an opportunity for winners to exchange ideas.
Veteran Employment Assistance Training Opportunity
The Community Service Agency (CSA) is accepting registrations for 15 veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars for a new employment training and placement assistance project.
